At 1:23 am, there was a power surge which lead to an explosion that realeased dangerous radioactive fallout into the atmosphere, threatening the lives of the nearby occupants of Pripyat. The nearby occupants were evacuated from the town, and Pripyat is still not under livable conditions due to dangerously high radiation levels. today, the Chernobyl Power Plant Disaster is considered the worst nuclear accident, the only one to reach level 7, the highest level of the International Nuclear Event Scale.

  1. There are a couple of things that I would have liked to see included - what was the human fallout? In other words, what kind of human suffering was caused by this. Also, I would have liked to know more about what level 7 actually means in terms of a nuclear accident. Otherwise, good information.

  2. This was a really cool presentation. I wish you had explained what level 7 means more, and what makes it different from all the other level disasters.
